Frank has been interested in the outdoors all his life. Growing
up roaming the hills and mountains of Armagh, the Mournes
and the Cooley peninsula, he acquired his first canvas ridge
tent at the age eight. He is a fully apprenticed craftsman
in metalworking, and has a special interest in Knife making.
He has worked as a mechanical engineer for many years.
Frank has traveled extensively in Australia and the United
States and experienced many aspects of bushcraft, survival
and wilderness travel in these countries. He is a qualified
Emergency Medical Care First Responder, with extensive experience
in managing and recovering from large scale medical and industrial
emergency situations.
He has been interested and practiced bushcraft and survival
for more than 20 years. Having reached this point, Frank believed
that it was time to pass on his skills and experiences to
others. Frank spends every spare minute he has in the woods
and mountains practicing his skill and just being closer to
the natural world.
